How To remove most viruses !
is a Guide to help You remove most of the malware out there. However
on really infected systems, it is probably better to
reformat the harddrive and install windows again.
to Backup Important files BEFORE disinfecting Your PC (if possible)
NOTE! Removing Virusses CAN damage Your windows installation - It would be a good idea to have the windows
installation CD/DVD at hand - just in case!
Downloading our "First-Aid kit"
first we need to download a couple of programs, in order
to disinfect the PC.
Download these tools, preferably on a Clean PC - save them to a USB pen or even better, a CD - otherwise save
them to the desktop on the infected PC

NOTE! These tools are "ondemand" scanners they DO NOT protect "realtime" against Viruses/Malware. They should only be used to scan for and remove Malware.
tools, for the most part, have built-in virussignatures. They are only
effective the day You downloaded them. For best results, please
download new files, should You need to clean a PC in the future.
Removing the viruses!
- boot into “safe mode”
Turn on the PC and Boot into "Safe mode” - tap the "F8" key repeatedly after the BIOS screen
dissapears. Select “safe mode” in the boot menu.
Step 2 - Scan for viruses in safe mode!
Once windows is up and running, in safemode !
Step 3 - Scan for viruses in Safe mode WITH networking
Boot PC in "Safe mode WITH networking" - just as we did before (tapping the F8 key as soon as the BIOS screen disappears. This time choose “Safemode WITH networking")
Install MalwareBytes Antimalware (mbam-setup.exe).
if Malwarebytes is not able to update - install the update by running the “Mbam-rules.exe” file
Run a "FULL SCAN" with Malwarebytes and clean what it finds - reboot PC.
Boot in "Safe mode with networking", again !
Scan with ESET Online Scanner - Clean what it finds, reboot
PC should now be running normally, if not try one of the Boot CD's found in the "ToolKit" section on this site.
After the Infection
Keep the PC under observation the first couple of days after the infection. Do daily scans with Malwarebytes, ESET online Scanner and Your Antivirus program.
A good idea is to reinstall Your antivirusprogram with the latest version, since the virus could have damaged the installation.
You can also make additional scans with these on-demand scanners.
